Cafe One 6 five is probably one of the worst restaurants I have ever reviewed in a long time. Having entitled to RM 100 worth of food and beverages, I couldn’t bring myself to proceed with anymore orders after the third dish. First off is the Salmon fish steak which sells at RM 19.80. To begin with, the Salmon is served in the most pathetic size I have ever seen on any serving plate. Secondly, the salmon is horrible and I was really worried that I would probably get food poisoning after the first bite. I didn’t bother finishing the rest cause I was really worry I’ll get food poisoning from the fish fillet.
Next is the Fish & chips selling at RM 10.80. Weirdly served with a sausage, the fish fillet is also stingily tiny although the battered fillet tasted rather okay.
Then i decided to try the oriental menu so I picked the chef recommendation, but was told that some ingredients were not available hence they were unable to make that for me. I went with the Sizzling claypot yee mee instead. Selling RM 7.80, I thought it was quite a fair price given the ambience and the location. However, it was not extraordinarily delicious or outstanding.
Even the cappuccino and tea was ordinary but yet overpriced for something so ordinary.

Boston café has been around for such a long time but I have not actually review them just yet. Recently, after a steamboat gathering sessions with my fellow uni mates we went ahead to Boston for round two after meal drink. It’s like you can’t get enough of your friends when seeing them once in a long while. After the famous yuen steamboat at the mentari sunway, we went for a drink at the boston in sunway mentari. I ordered a hot soya bean at RM 3.95 and a hot coffee for RM 2.95 and immediately after a sip, I decided to call the review off and probably wouldn’t return for review anytime soon. The communication barrier between the locals and the foreign workers are making things really difficult for the customers. I don’t blame the workers but I do put the management in charge with the blame. They should have train the waiters well before letting them serve the customers and taking orders. The drinks were really ordinarily bland.

Many eating escapades revolve around the food, and seldom did people remember the importance of the excellence or services, the interior, or the ambience of the restaurant. All these indirectly contribute to the dining experience in whole and it is really important to pick and locate a restaurant at the right place. Ben’s Kitchen made a brilliant decision opening in Publika Mont Kiara. Some months back, the place might have been a little dead but now it can never be any livelier than it is. Curry Laksa which is not cheap for a dish you can easily get by the street or in any hawker centers. Selling at RM 24.90, the noodles are presented very nicely in a huge bowl making eating very easy and delightful. I thought it could use a little bit more of those cucumbers. It wasn’t too spicy and the sambal is served separately so for those who don’t fancy curry laksa to be over spicy then this one is creamily gentle.
Fisherman’s catch(RM 25.90) is serve at the right portion the coleslaw made a great add on to the otherwise dull combination of fish burger. The fillet is great, amazingly breaded to have the stunning texture on the outside whilst keeping the fish juicy on the inside.

Located at one of the area with most expatriates as residence, this is one of those mamak with food an beverages ranging slightly higher than the usual. Mamak restaurants are common in Malaysia and is within our culture to go out and yumcha (drink tea) with friends or late supper whenever possible. Reason being, most of these mamak stalls are open till very late at night. Bestari is not any different from the rest, and approaching night time people started to gather and have a drink or two and probably some simple mamak food. Like other mamaks, this one serves common mamak food like assorted rotis, and simple goreng noodles. Every mamak has their signature and this one is the indome burger. Using ramly burger patties and indomee, comes this dish called the indomee burger goreng. Another favourite of mine is the tosai and rava tosai. The chutney is a must when having tosai, and they always serve their tosai with the chutney. The rava tosai is slightly crispier so depending on your preference, you can choose amongst the many types of rotis. There is also dishes and rice as well as tandori and briyani. All the local delights of malay and Indian cuisine of Malaysia.

After the SS 14 bah kut teh (BKT)escape from the Ah Ping BKT restaurant , next is one that claims to be a hundred percent from Klang and is called the Restoran Chuan Bah Kut Teh. The menu is so interesting here they offer so much more than just BKT itself. There is Sharks meat on the menu just in case any potential fear factor candidate would like to order that. I’ll eat it if no one said anything about it but unfortunately there is no way I can bring myself to ordering one of those. Perhaps next time when I am a bit more prepared.
At the Bah Kut Teh restaurant, the main thing is for sure the BKT. I tried the BKT soup as well as the dry BKT. The first was nothing too extraordinary out of most of the BKT soup along the shop lots here in the SS 14. Still, they are already pretty good and rich in lots of herbs and spices. The ingredients are pretty standard like many others ; there is assorted pork, intestine and innards as well as mushrooms and some fu chuk. The second was the dry BKT and it was deliciously generous with flavours as well as fresh ingredients. Some thick soya sauce and a mixture of well complemented ingredients with blasting fire on claypot to cook this and the outcome is amazingly interesting. I still think that they should have a different name for this instead of calling it the dry BKT. It doesn’t taste any bit BKT.
