In the process of searching for the mango Danish since the first time I had it, I found strawberry. So this time around, I paid a little more attention at the strawberry flavored cakes and pastry desserts. In the search, I found the sweetie strawberry cheese at RM 8. Served inside a cup with raspberry and strawberry as toping, there are layers of delicious pastry mix of cheesecake, mousse, and fresh creams inside the cup. This makes a perfect after meal dessert and is great to go with a cup of hot aromatic tea. This one has many soft texture so when packed and take away, be sure that home is not too far away before it melts. Also in my buying list today is the tiramisu at RM 9.90, something that I wouldn’t recommend for anyone with no preference to caffeine. The safer option is the chocolate flavoured pastry. The triplets (choco cream puffs) sells at Rm 3.90 and the cream filling is generously rich. Also challenge yourself with the hammershus. Selling at RM 4, this banana chocolate Danish if deliciously filled with rich chocolate and the Danish pastry that I fancy.

The last time I visited the Free Mori, I was almost hooked to the Mango Danish. One is never enough so I decided to get some more the next time I come across another Free Mori outlet. I coincidently come across one recently when I was having lunch with my best friend. I was so happy when I saw the bakery and with no hesitation I went straight in. Unfortunately, this time around, I don’t see any mango Danish. The varieties vary accordingly to each outlet and each outlet have different best seller respectively. And since I was quite addicted to the mango Danish, I found myself another replacement to substitute the mango Danish. This time around, I got myself the mango mousse. The mango mousse sells at Rm 8.50 and all mango lovers would love this one and upon the first bite, it is like love at first sight. The aroma of mango is amazing. I also got myself the music box which sells at RM 7.90 and this mini raspberry cheese is amazing. Another thing that caught my attention is the mori matcha of 6 inch which sells at rm 50 each. For a six inch cake, it is slightly pricey. Something at a lower range would be the strawberry scream. At a same size, and selling at RM 48, strawberry lover would be really happy with this. If this is too much but you have to have strawberry (like me) I recommend the Napolean at RM 8. Super delicious.

Ikar is a chinese restaurant that specializes in noodles and mainly the fish head noodles. On top of fish head noodles, they manage to come out with many improvised version for this fish head noodle and thus making the menu interestingly new and creative. As opposed to many traditional and conventional fish head noodles, this one comes with a creative mix of ingredients like the pumpkin, bitter gourd, watercress and even cheese. The cheese fish head noodle is one that is cleverly using the fusion technique utilizing the creaminess in the cheese. The soup was interestingly flavourful. The closest resemblance I can elaborate is the carbonara sauce which is more diluted and much more saltier than that of the carbonara sauce which we are all familiar with. All the noodle bowls would be served with fried fish by the side, in a separate bowl right next to it. There are add on orders as well and one of the best sellers is the fried dumpling. Light and very suitable to order as appetizers, this fried dumplings are crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside.

They said the Japanese makes everything fine and delicate. I somewhat agree to this when it comes to Japanese sweet cuisine. All the way from the taste and flavours to the presentation and effort in decorating each dessert, definitely blow my mind away. And that I am referring to the desserts in the Hokkaido ice cream at the paradigm mall. Being one of the few dessert shops in the paradigm mall, and located at the middle of the walkway in the mall, this dessert booth is more than just eye catching and stands out within the area. With the signature design of a built-in tree all the way right to the ceiling of the mall and creating the illustration of dining under a big tree, this place is lovely for the quick sugar replenish when shopping at the mall, or simply when pampering you with some beautiful desserts after meals. The prices are less than friendly for the desserts but the delicate arrangement does look appealing for those with many interest in pretty looking desserts. With very fine and tiny pieces of items in their menu, I thought the prices were rather expensive. The matcha cheese cake serves in a very tiny scoop of ice cream and very few tiny pieces of cheesecake which tastes really ordinary and nothing very Hokkaido-ish if you ask me. And selling at rm 12.80, this hokkaido ice cream is done in less than 5 minutes even for a slow eater like me. The pear juice sells pretty decently at RM 8 each, but given the rate of oxidation of the fruit, this is a bad choice for fruit juices.

The bagel is also sometimes spelled as beigel in certain country is a traditional bread that is very popular in United States and Canada. The bagel is a traditional bread that is normally and commonly shapped into a ring form and is prepared from wheat dough by boiling for a short time in water first before baking it. As a result of that, the texture is a slightly dense, chewy, with somewhat doughy texture on the inside and slight crispy texture on the outside. The Bagels are traditionally baked with seeds on top at the outer crust, commonly poppy seeds. Some on the other hand would sprinkle a coated layer of salt on top. This one here in Coffee bean is nicely done with great texture and served with generously with cream cheese. Plain bagels are perfect to go with cream cheese because cream cheeses are mildly astringent with sour taste which richly triggers the saliva gland to result in perpetual saliva secretion when the after taste lingers. The bagel with cream cheese sells at RM 11.50 and it is perfect to go with the coffee bean Sook Pu Erh Cha. The aroma of the tea is calmingly great when sipping in to it while it is still hot. The coffee on the other hand, instantly perks you up with the great coffee aroma. Although not being a fan of caffeine, I do enjoy the aroma of coffee.
