"Nice spot to spend your wonderful tea time at The Loaf, Pavillion KL with these lovely bakeries:P
Magazine! Yeah, you heard it righte, that’s the name given! ^_^
It’s actually a very flaky pastry with chocolate filling inside. Not too sweet but just nice! The multi layers actually further enhance its texture. However, it is very light and thus, won’t really fill up my tummy :P Good try anyway.
Added to the rack was this Vegetable Cheese Scones.
Am curious to try it for it doesn’t look like the conventional scones which is to be eaten with jam. But this particular pastry, leaving me for more after the first bite. It was so delish that could just be eaten that way. The greens that were added lend some savory taste to it, while the scone that was mixed with cheese gives out some saltiness. It’s so fragrant and not too floury with a tinge of sweetness. Nice one!
As for this, it comes as a little bun-looked like, sprinkled with some parmesan thingy, but in fact I think it was some sweetened flour paste. The filling is a mixture of custard cream and chocolate paste. Thus, you may taste the mild chocolaty sensation in it also. To me, this pretty ordinary and not as interesting as the vege cheese scones, yummy! Anyhow, this bun do have a soft and fluffy texture.
The Mango Cheese actually got my attention. I was thinking how is the mango going to blend well with cheese. Anyhow, being an adventurer in food, still I go for it :P At first bite, I cant really taste the cream as it was located quite in the middle, hehe..so as the second deeper bite, able to try the custard. Apparently, the pastry was kinda hard, but the outer layer was still nicely caramelized. As for the mango cheese custard, I have to say, I don’t really find it cheesy enough nor with some mango elements. Just more like a slightly richer custard. But still make a decent tea time snack if you’re not craving for cheese like me:P
They also have Matcha Oyaki!
The green tea taste is tad mild, thus would be better if it’s more concentrated :P Having said so, the matcha is evenly blend in with the custard cream and gives out a smooth texture :D"
I recommend this place for:
