"There is this famous raja uda tomyam mee located at Butterworth.
I make a special effort to turn up far from Penang island for this Penang-renowned tomyam mee. It is located at a grungy area beside the raja uda main road and its kind of hard to find as the stall is obscured by a large parking lot.

People were queuing and self-servicing for their favourite ingredient to be added to the tomyam soup. There are plenty of choice to choose from and what you cant miss is their crispy fried fish. You can see one of the proprietor frying a massive amount of fresh fish in a large wok filled with hot oil. After picking up a heaping bowl of seafood and vegetables i like, what i have to do is to past the bowl to the proprietor of the tomyam stall. They will cook all the food in a bowl with tomyam soup and serve to your table.

A nice place to visit for people who loves tomyam."

"Once we talk about Raja Uda, Butterworth, Penang, the first thought that comes into mind is definitely FOOD. There are lots of nice foods in Raja Uda, the most famous now should be TOMYAM noodle.

This is the famous Tomyam in Raja Uda. It is awesome. I bet you can’t resist the mixture of sour yet spicy of the soup, and also the freshness seafood. The shop is located at the left hand side of Kwang hua primary school. The shop is not too big, thus when it is crowded you may need to stand and wait for a seat. I prefer to sit outside, as there have no air-conditioner, and it is usually crowded, it is damn hot inside the shop. having meal outside is more comfortable.

In penang, most of the stall selling Tomyam allow us to choose the ingredients we want. It is ranging from vegetables, fish cakes, fish balls, big prawn and so forth. The one you shouldn't missed out to pick is the fried fish and the abalone pieces.

There are different type of noodle too, most people prefer maggi mee. Yup, and some will like the TOMYAM PORRIDGE. Tomyam porridge is quite special to people who never heard before. And well it is very nice too.

* for people who dislike spicy food is recommended to take tomyam porridge. As the porridge has lighten the spiciness of tomyam. *
